At East Taieri we are passionate about seeing people cared for (also known as pastoral care). In life, we go through ups and downs – the birth of a child, the death of a loved one, a sickness, a tragic event – and through all the events of our lives our church family is there with us and for us. They pray for us. They offer us meals. They listen to us. They see our tears. They laugh alongside us. East Taieri Church is a place where all people are cared for.
So how do we do this?
Meals Ministry:
We have a meals ministry for people in need or going through a significant event (bereavement, birth of a new child, sickness). Meals can be left in the ET Cares freezer, or people are approached to make a meal for someone as the need arises.
Wood Ministry:
We also recognise the importance of having a warm house. We have firewood that can be given out to folks in need during winter time.
