East Taieri Church Cookbook
We’re excited to announce that we’re creating an East Taieri Church Cookbook as a fundraiser for our church building project, and we’d love your help!
We’re looking for your best, favourite, and most-requested recipes—the dishes that family and friends always ask you to make again. Whether it’s a treasured family recipe, a tried-and-true weeknight meal, a delicious baking favourite, or a special dish for celebrations, we’d love to include it.
To help us create a cookbook that’s easy to use and enjoyable for everyone, please make sure your recipe includes:
• Recipe name
• Your name
• A brief description of the recipe and why it’s special to you (for example, a family tradition, a favourite for entertaining, or a recipe that’s been passed down through generations)
• A clear, easy-to-follow ingredients list
• Detailed method/instructions
• Preparation time
• Cooking time
• Number of serves
• Any helpful tips or variations you’d like to share
The clearer and more detailed your recipe is, the easier it will be for others to recreate and enjoy!
Recipe submissions are now open! We’d love to receive your recipes over the coming weeks. Please send them to etchurchcookbook@gmail.com by the end of August
Puzzles
One of our lovely lifegroups have initiated a puzzling fundraiser for our building project – a lending library for jigsaw puzzles. The cost is $5 to borrow each puzzle, for 1 month. Pick up a puzzle from the foyer beside the office and pop the money into the East Taieri Church bank account: 02 0938 0018236 00 Reference: Puzzle
Wheatbags
We have had a lovely member of the Monday Painting Group make wheatbags for us to sell as fundraising for the Building Project. The wheatbags are $15 each and available to purchase in the foyer beside the office. East Taieri Church bank account: 02 0938 0018236 00 Reference: Wheatbag

Christmas Craft Market
We have some exciting news! We have been allocated a stall at the Edgar Centre Christmas Market on Sunday, 22 November, starting at 9:00 am, with set-up taking place the evening before.
This is truly an answer to prayer. All we need to do is turn up with our crafts and sell them—the organisers will take care of all the advertising and promotion.
That gives us four months to prepare for an eight-hour market, so now is the time to get crafting! If you haven’t already started making items, please begin as soon as you can.
This is a wonderful opportunity, and it will take the whole parish working together to make it a success. Every handmade item, no matter how big or small, will help us create a fantastic stall and support the East Taieri Christmas Shop.
