Universe Designed – 17 July at East Taieri Church
Universe Designed is a Christian apologetics documentary that explores how faith and reason come together to reveal the truth about God’s existence. Through in-depth interviews with some of the world’s leading Christian thinkers—such as Dr. Frank Turek, Dr. Hugh Ross, J. Warner Wallace, Alisa Childers, and Sean McDowell—the film presents a compelling case for the God of the Bible.

If you have jigsaw puzzles at home, that you would like to donate, please drop them into the office asap. Keep your eyes peeled for the puzzles to be ready to borrow in a few weeks time.

Ground Zero:

NotebookLM Again? Some people have asked about running the workshop on NotebookLM again, not on a Thursday night. We can do that if I know people are planning to come. If you are interested, email Peter. NotebookLM is an AI “research assistant”. If you have material you want to understand or teach, you give it that material then discuss it with the AI, asking it to summarise it, or compare different approaches, or challenge certain points of view, or produce a PowerPoint presentation or a podcast or whatever. It can suggest study questions. It is useful for anyone wanting to learn or make decisions. If you would like a more general introduction to other AI tools, let me know that too.

Looking At Movies Through A Biblical Lens Movie-buffs, Credits is a podcast seeking God’s truth (whether intended or not) in movies. The hosts dialogue about a different movie each episode. If you are interested, search for “Credits” on your favourite podcast. Or, use the Spotify link

What is The Bible?
From mid-July we plan to look at the Bible: what it is (and isn’t), how to read it and how to study it, and how to understand it. To help us prepare, what questions do you have about the Bible – not so much particular passages (unless they illustrate a bigger issue) but more general questions about the nature and reliability and usefulness of the Bible. Please contact Peter with your questions.

Videoing happening in all services:
We are hoping to create a short promotional video that can be used by the church for general use (e.g on website, social media) as well as for recruitment of a senior pastor.
The purpose of the video is to tell our story (who we are as a church community, what we stand for and our mission statement) and will feature some of what we do as a community.
We hope to do some filming in June/ July across the 4 services as well as during some activities. If you don’t wish to be part of this or if you have any questions, please contact Annie Yohannan via the church office. office@etchurch.co.nz
